These are both stunning as always Andre! I think I favor this one. It feels like late spring or early summer. The raging river is high from the melting icecaps and the wildflowers are in bloom. I also like the low lying clouds and it looks like this is just after a rain.
The other is about early fall I'm guessing cause the ice has stopped melting and the river is getting low. The flowers are gone and its getting colder
Thankyou for this beautiful saison interpretation, this are the finished version of the first study, but if i listen to your different double interpretation, than i,m satisfied, that i posted also the first sketch version to the finished work. You are a perfect and realistic landscape poet. Thanks for giving this beautiful gift to my another attempt in iceland fantasy styl, honored Sir Carl.
The water! You've painted such a realistic rushing stream trickling and dancing over the rocks that I want to dip my hand into it. And the lava formations, unique and ancient as to suggest figures from another age. Exceptional work,Andre, that makes me want to explore and wonder at the many details of this evolving land that you have depicted.
You my dear Gudrun, thankyou for your endless patience with my always the same attempts in the romantic iceland wilderness styl, and of course,a specielly thanks for your fresh jugdement to my styl to paint wildwaters, you fluffy iceland river witch.
